CHAPTER 2: Part 1- A fish in a Cave

Six years had passed since the great ninja war, and for once there was peace. The development of the allied shinobi forces continued to grow as all the Kage of the land tried to remain united.

I was 23 by this point and had spent all of my time training alone in the old Akatsuki base. With my Mangekyo awakened, I knew I needed to learn how to control its power as well as the susenoo’s. I was not a fool; I knew that to take down Sasuke and the hidden leaf I was going to need to be patient.

As I left my home behind and made my way towards the hidden leaf, I decided to make a pit stop at an old “friend’s” place to gather some intel on the location of Team 7’s members. I wanted no surprises.

The cave entry way was long and dark, and I could tell that I was being watched from the moment I stepped inside.

“I swear, with how bad you are at concealing your chakra, it is a miracle you ever survived the 4th ninja war,” I said, turning to face two purple eyes hidden in the shadows.
He chuckled, “There are perks to being made of water, not to mention I had powerful allies standing beside me.”

“You mean one powerful dictator who scared you into submission once again?” I sassed, referring to Orochimaru.

He snarled and leaned against the cold cave wall. “What are you doing here, Yukoto? You know Orochimaru has been looking for you. Where have you been? Why did you take off on your own? What have you been doing all this time?”

“Damn, slow down there fish breath! What’s with the 20 questions?” I stepped towards him placing my hand on his chest pinning him to the wall. “Is that your way of saying you were worried about me and missed me?” I teased.

He quickly looked down as his cheeks turned red. “NO! NOT AT ALL! I was just tired of Orochimaru sending me out to look for you is all! Don’t change the subject! What you are you doing here?” He snapped while brushing my hand off his chest.

I rolled my eyes and began walking down the long hall again “All will be revealed in due time.” I looked back at him and gave a devilish grin, “Are you coming?”

He sighed and chased after me, “Why can’t things ever be simple with you. I’m guessing you are here for Orochimaru?”

“Actually,” I stopped to look at him a moment, “I am here for you Suigetsu.”
